American Traffic Safety Services Association 26 Meetings & Conventions see some of the latest innovations in the roadway safety infrastructure indus- try. The products submitted as part of NPRO are a range of devices that save lives on our nation’s roadways. The top three products will be announced as winners of the prestigious ATSSA Inno- vation Awards on January 28, 2020. Meet the next generation of roadway safety innovators during convention at the awards ceremony for the Traffic Control Device (TCD) Student Challenge winners. The TCD Student Challenge is an opportunity for high school or college students or teams to submit roadway safety infrastructure innovations and receive feedback frommembers of the industry on their projects. The winning teams will be presenting their presen- tations at the ATSSA Pavilion. Get inspired and hear from thought leaders in the industry during ATSSA’s Opening General Session on January 26. ATSSA Chair-Elect Greg Driskell, ATSS Foundation President David Krahulec, and an impressive lineup of speakers will present during the event. Recognizing industry excellence During ATSSA’s Opening General Session, the recipients of the Industry Achieve- ment Award, National Safety Award, and National Media Awardwill be announced. The honorees will receive their award at the Chairman’s Reception & Gala the evening of January 25. ATSSA’s Industry Achievement Award is given to an associationmember who has demonstrated a lifelong commitment to advancing roadway safety and ATSSA’s mission. The National Safety Award is given to a member who is employed or recently retired from a government agency who has made an extraordinary and significant contribution to highway safety. ATSSA’s National Media Award is given to a journalist, blogger, or news organization that has demonstrated fair, balanced, and informative reporting on transportationand roadway safety issues.
