Three requests for peer review agreements went out thismonth for patients seeking resolution to various complaints. A number of dental benefits issues were referred to our dental benefits chair, most recently an inquiry involving the DC-37 switch toDelta Dental. •Our continuing educationpresentations have gone on as scheduled.Dr. Bittner’s webinar on implants was held October 16with20participants.Dr. Kang’s presentation this past Friday on implant complications attracted 15 participants. Our October membership meeting was successfully staged. The evening’s speaker was Dr. Zhivagowho spoke onDigital applications inDentistry. Therewere 65 registrants for themeeting.Therewere 34 attendees at theRCDSmembershipmeeting heldTues- day evening,October 20with speakerDr.MichaelMis- tretta on oral pathology. Three more webinars are planned for November. Our November membership meeting will be heldThursday evening, November 12. Dr. Alex Soeprono will speak on dental ceramics. We will also have a special guest introduced, Dr. Kevin Henner, the president-elect of theNYStateDental Asso- ciation. You should know that eachwebinar ormeeting ismoderated live by amember of the SDDS staff.There have been someminor technical glitches here and there, but for the most, the presentations have been well received • The 2021 CE program is coming along. Our list of available speakers has been completed. Staffwill bework- ing with the Committee to program in the speakers to specific dates • Final shredding events for 2020 were held two weeks ago on Staten Island and at SDDS Headquarters. Another 30 members took advantage of the program.
