Organized by ACPAChief of Engineering andConstructionGaryMitchell, P.E., the in-person programwill feature technical presentations by subject matter experts with practical experience in the topic areas. Leading the discussions will be experts from theU.S. Army Corps of Engineers, the FAA, the Air Force Civil Engineering Center (AFCEC), ACPA, and companies with direct involvement in the design and construction of FAA and Tri-Services projects. Strategic Plan AFTER SIXMONTHS OF HARDWORK BY THE STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE, ACPA is excited to announce that the Board of Directors voted to adopt a new Strategic Plan that will direct ACPA’s goals and efforts. The plan defines ACPA’s mission as “developing and protecting concrete pavement markets through education, advocacy, marketing, and industry technical leadership” and lays out ACPA’s vision of “concrete being the pavement material of choice benefitting communities and society within the U.S., state, and local economies.”The goals of the Strategic Plan are that (a) the federation is collaborating with a common purpose for the good of the industry, (b) ACPA is anticipating and building the knowledge to solve future paving challenges, and (c) policy and decision-makers understand the positive impact concrete pavement can have on our environment.
