Oregon Trucking Associations, Inc. 30 Oregon Truck Dispatch NEWS OTA News: Your One Stop Resource OTA’s Jana Jarvis Takes Electric Truck for a Spin In early May, OTA President & CEO Jana Jarvis had the chance to take one of Volvo’s electric trucks for a spin around the TEC Equipment location in Coburg, OR. The event, hosted by Volvo Trucks North America, was also attended by Oregon Rep. Peter DeFazio, Chair of the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure. OTA’s “Moving Pictures” Readers of the OTA Weekly Express and other emails may have noticed some new promo videos for OTA membership, along with NW Fleet Safety and NW Fleet Maintenance certification programs. If you haven’t had the chance to take a look, you can also find them on the OTA website. We encourage you share these with anyone who may benefit from what OTA has to offer. We plan to continue producing these short bursts of information on other topics and we’d love to include some shots of our members in action. OTA Image Award— Application Now Available Given the raise in profile that the trucking industry experienced during the pandemic, we know there are a lot of Oregon trucking companies who would be prime candidates for this year’s OTA Image Award.
