Wolf’s December 12 order shutting down in- door dining and private events, the PRLA surveyed more than 5,000 industry members from December 11-13, 2020. 88 percent of respondents will now have to lay off staff. 26,275 employees were laid off immediately due to the order. More than $1.5 million worth of food was discarded or, rarely, donated. Approximate 13 percent of respondents said they would defy the order.
