HOSPITALITY ASSISTANCE RESPONSE OF PENNSYLVANIA HELPING FRONTLINE HOSPITALITY EMPLOYEES IN PENNSYLVANIA 2020 Impact Review The Hospitality Assistance Response of Pennsylvania (HARP) is a 501(c)(3) that provides immediate emergency funding to frontline hospitality work- ers who have been impacted by the coronavirus pandemic. HARP launched in April 2020 with seed grants from founding sponsors Tito’s Handcrafted Vodka/Love Tito’s and Yuengling, and is funded by private, community, and individual donations. The fund distributes one-time, indi- vidual grants of $250 to our frontline industry employees during times of unforeseen hardship. Grants are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and subject to the availability of funds at the time. Industry employees continue to ex- perience significant hardships due to the ongoing restrictions placed on the hospitality industry. HARP’s purpose is to provide swift financial assistance to the bartenders, bar backs, line cooks, runners, servers, bussers, front-desk, housekeepers, and other frontline employees of Pennsylvania hospitality businesses. WE HELPED 1,287 hospitality workers $427,774 TOTAL MONEY RAISED IN 2020 Through individual and corporate gifts and special events 244 TOTAL DONORS IN 2020 198 individual and 46 corporate donors contributed to HARP. The average individual gift was $200 and the average corporate gift was $6,500 . 14 SPECIAL EVENTS From online auctions to livestream concerts to golf outings to collaboration beers, special events helped raise funds for HARP in 2020.
