Last year’s total educational revenue was approximately $ 786,000 so we expect to far exceed that total. • The hospitality suite at Javits for clinicians and volunteers will be located on the fourth floor of Javits on Friday and Saturday and then back downstairs in E. Hall Sunday through Wednesday. Richmond County Dental Society — Dr. Merola: • The RCDS installation dinner will be on Jan. 28 and will have a Roaring 20’s/ Prohibition theme. Awards Committee — Dr. Ratner: • The minutes of the Oct. 25 meeting have been emailed. • The committee would like to present the following resolution to the Board: Resolved: That the SDDS give two additional awards of up to $500 each to NYC College of Technology students in both the hygiene and tech tracks after their first year in similar categories as the current awards. After a brief explanation of the rationale for this motion, a vote was held, and the motion passed. UNFINISHED BUSINESS: None. NEW BUSINESS: None. GOOD & WELFARE: • Dr. Donato thanked the members who represented the Second District at the ADA House of Delegates meeting in Houston. • Dr. Donato announced that his daughter was married two weeks ago. • Dr. Quartey-Sagaille thanked everyone for their well wishes following the birth of her son. • Mr. Hackett informed everyone that Dr. Wolfe is back to work following the loss of her father and she is appreciative of all the kind thoughts that were conveyed. • Mr. Hackett welcomed Dr. Shalan to the meeting and announced that she will be joining the Board in January. • Dr. Merlino recognized Dr. Reneida Reyes for an honor she received on Friday, Nov. 4 at a combined meeting of Suffolk and Nassau Counties’ women’s dentists.
