Martine said. The goal is to increase awareness of ATSSA among this group by employing innovative ideas like holding a chapter meeting on the University of Delaware campus. Martine said turnout for that was good. “We hope that this new direction will informstudents that the roadway safety industry has a growing need for bright young minds for future innovation,” Martine said. The Chesapeake Chapter includes Dela - ware, Maryland, and Washington, D.C. Martine is vice president of Century Engi - neering Inc., which is based inDover, Del. Hesaidhisfirmhasbeen involvedwith the chapter from the beginning. His chapter rolehas grownover the years fromsched - uling meetings to becoming president- elect in 2016 and now president. “I’vedonemy best to represent the agency and industry leaders within the Chesa - peake Chapter,” he said. Another chapter goal is to boost involve - ment frompeoplewithinD.C. andMartine said the group has some promising leads that he hopes will bring more participa - tion soon.
