He also holds ATSSA member - ship in other chapters in states where he works including Arizona, California, and NewMexico, and is a past member of the Florida, Oklahoma, and North Carolina chapters. “It’s a sounding board,” he said of the Association as a whole. “It’s a place where members can come and have a unified voice, get information, and help each other.” He said the Texas Chapter has been pleased to have attendance at its meet - ings from representatives from TxDOT. The DOT presence enhances the ability to share information at themeeting and promotes relationships that can help bothmembers and theDOT in the future. In addition toquarterly chaptermeetings, andcommitteemeetingsonspecific areas including guardrails, work zones, and pavement markings, the Texas Chapter holds an annual golf tournament fund - raiser for The ATSS Foundation and the chapter always gathers in years when ATSSA holds its Annual Convention & Traffic Expo in San Antonio.
