NMDA Journal Summer 2020

nmdental.org 9 CE ON-DEMAND In the current climate of physical distancing, continuing education must not only be relevant, but also available on different platforms. We are so lucky that new this year, the first ever, Virtual NMDA Fiesta Annual Session was offered. Attendees could view livemeetings and earn con- tinuing education in the comfort of their home or office. The line up of speakers was exceptional including Keynote Speaker, Dr. Gordon Christensen. Equally valuable and found on our website under “CE ONLINE,” we now have year-round availability of the video course titled, “Managing Pain Safely.” This course satisfies the state licensure opioid awareness requirement every three years and provides three hours of pain management training/CE. VOLUNTEER & DONATE Near and dear to many of our hearts is the ability to give back to a profession that has blessed our lives so greatly. The Mission of Mercy events held throughout the state and Donated Dental Program allow dentists to serve by providing free care to those in need. In our busy lives, the opportunity to unconditionally share our craft may be our greatest gift and most fulfilling. Donations can also be made to sup- port these causes through the NM Dental Foundation. Dental icons courtesy of BomSymbols. https://creativemarket.com/BomSymbols How Does the NMDA Help You?
