The unexpected COVID-19 crisis caused a lot of panic in the trucking industry, and OTA was fortunate enough to have the resources to continue “business as usual.” After all, we are an essential industry. We recognized that our members still had questions, needed training, access to information, a way to connect with others, and process annual over-dimensional permits. In fact, we even received increased support from members that had previously not processed permits with OTA... and the support is mutual! Given the increased volume of calls and emails OTA had received from members and the public, especially during the first few weeks of the “shelter in place” order from Governor Kate Brown, it became clear that the association had to adapt. Thank you to the following companies and individuals for their contribution to OTA’s calls, webinars, and events during the pandemic (to date): Rep.
