2020–2021 Dental Directory 3 President’s Message COVID-19 has brought this association to the forefront in many dentist’s minds. I see this as an opportunity for each of us to re-evalute the importance of organized dentistry and see that it is indispensable to our professional success. The NMDA staff, trustees, and committee members worked tirelessly to proactively confront this crisis and to advocate the Governor for a timely restart to our practices. We diligently sought out and provided all the timely clinical and business help that we could find to help dentists in this time of crisis. We will continue to support dentists in the way we are uniquely positioned. Many colleagues have told me that if they were unclear about the value of their NMDA membership prior to the crisis, they are clear moving forward how vital membership in the NMDA is for their success. We have an exciting plan called NMDA 2.0 created by our membership to give you even greater value at a state and local level. We are hard at work improving your member experience and our communication. You are an invaluable part of dentistry in New Mexico, and we truly appreciate your membership and service in our association. Leaders understand that communication begins with listening.
