CORRESPONDENCE: (none) REPORTS OFOFFICERS AND STAFF: President—Dr. Michael Donato: • Reported on his attendance at several more Zoom meetings of the GNYDM LLC Personnel Committee during the past month. The committee is in the process of interviewing search firms. • The Dr. Meryl Efron Memorial Lecture on February 25 was well attended. • Reminded everyone that there will be a general membership meeting this Thursday night and it appears that it will be well-attended. President Elect—Dr. Raymond Flagiello: • Announced that he is exploring venues for next year´s installation luncheon. Treasurer—Dr. ValerieVenterina: • Reported on the balances in the Chase operating and savings accounts and the Vanguard Investment Portfolio. Asset allocation in the investment portfolio falls within our desired range. • A total of $100,000 in proceeds for the 2021 Greater New York Dental Meeting has been received and deposited. This does not include $100,000 received in January as repayment of an advance. Executive Director—Mr. BernardHackett: • Upcoming committee meetings being scheduled include Peer Review, Dental Benefits and Liability Claims. • A meeting of the LLC Transition Committee was held on March 2. A number of items that require immediate attention were reviewed. The next meeting has been set for March 30 for update. • The GNYDMPersonnel Committee continues to meet on a regular weekly basis to address the executive director search process. • Our initial membership meeting will be held LIVE this Thursday at Dyker Beach Golf Club. Residents from the various Brooklyn and Staten Island hospital programs will be present. Nominations to the Nominating Committee will be taken from the floor that evening. • The annual Dr. Irving Gruber Lecture will be held this Friday. • The Installation of Officers will be held Sunday, April 3 at the University Club. NYSDA REPORTS: NYSDATrustee —Dr. Mitchell Mindlin: • Reported that the search for the newNYSDA executive director is in progress. Mr. Michael Hermann will continue as the interim executive director until the search is completed. • Our lobbyist, Mr. Lasky, gave his report. He continues to monitor the progress of the New York Health Act. It is a bill that would create a single payer, NYS-government run comprehensive health care program. He feels it has an uphill climb.
