4 2023 Fiesta NMDA May 18–20, 2023 New Mexico Dental Association is an ADA CERP Recognized Provider Frequently Asked Questions Do I need to register to attend the Fiesta NMDA Hybrid Event? Yes. You will register for Fiesta NMDA in the same way you registered last year. If you’ve attended a previous NMDA event your information will be stored in the system. Can I register my entire office together? You can register your entire office using the “Add Registrant” button during the registration process. Since registrants will have access to the online event as well as the live event, each registrant must provide their own email address. In order to give credit to all attendees, each attendee will have to log-in on their own device with their own ID code. You may watch it together but will each have to log-in on a phone or other device with internet access. How do I log-in to the registration website? You will be routed to the registration website. Dentists should use their ADA number as the username and personal password. If you are not a dentist and you have an account, use the username and password you used previously. If you don’t remember a password, use the reset link. If this is the first time you have registered as an individual, you will use the link to set up a new account. How do I log-in to Fiesta NMDA livestream on the day of the event? Your login details will be emailed to you ahead of the event. You can use these details to access both the livestreamed event and to watch on-demand recordings after the event. “Magic Links” will expire periodically, but the email letting you know it is expired will include an option to request a new one. This only takes a moment. Will the virtual meeting fulfill licensing and certificate requirements? Yes. Live virtual events count as normal CE hours. If you attend the on-demand or recorded courses, they will count as self-study credits. The timings of the live sessions are not convenient for me. Can I still participate in the event? The event will remain open 24/7 for 30 days. Therefore, you can attend whenever it’s convenient for you during this period of time. Will I be able to take away any documents or files from the event? Yes. Course handouts and exhibitor materials can be downloaded and saved or printed using your local device. Those that attend the meeting in-person will be encouraged to use the mobile app to access handouts. How will I get credit for the classes I take? Attendance lists will be produced at the in-person classes and the Accelevents platform tracks those that watch classes online. An attendance certificate will be sent to the email address you registered with indicating which classes were attended and whether they were live or on-demand. Do classes I attend via livestream as the presentation is given count as “live?” Yes. “Online” classes generally refer to recorded presentations or self-study classes. How long after the event can I watch classes? Anyone registered for Fiesta NMDA will have access to all the recorded classes for 30 days following the end of the meeting. Can I invite my colleagues and friends to attend the event? Absolutely. We are counting on you to invite others! Help us spread the word. One nice thing about a hybrid meeting is that you can attend from anywhere. You can simply share the link to this page via email or social media, and they can register at their convenience. Do I need to download or install any software to be able to attend this event? NO. You only need to have access to the Internet. We do recommend that everyone install the NMDA app for easy access to our Fiesta NMDA mobile site. Classes can be watched, booths can be visited, and contacts made from the app.

5 May 18–20, 2023 2023 Fiesta NMDA Register online at www.nmdental.org Frequently Asked Questions Will there be exhibitors at the hybrid Fiesta NMDA? YES. Exhibitors will be present in the exhibit area and will have booths online where they can chat or video conference. They will be able to demonstrate products and take orders. We hope you will make a point to visit their booths and thank them for supporting Fiesta NMDA. How is the schedule different for a hybrid event? The classes scheduled for Saturday morning will only be held virtually. We feel that this will allow more people to attend and require less time, particularly for travel, from your weekend. We will appreciate your feedback on this change as we plan for the future. Will I have to follow COVID-safe practices at the live event? There are currently no restrictions or mandates for indoor events in Bernalillo County. We will follow CDC guidelines if an increase in pandemic activity requires additional precautions. Those who have not been vaccinated or who have complicating health conditions are advised to mask, social distance and test prior to attending.
